A girl scout cadette of Troop 1967 in Irvine was recently awarded the Girl Scout Medal of Honor at a ceremony held in Disneyland Hotel, Anaheim. The award was given because 14-year-old Ava Kopecky, who saved a life of a two-and-a-half year old boy she had never met before the incident.
